This policy covers charliesbar.com. It explains what we collect through the forms on this site, why, and what we do with it. It's short because the site does very little.

What we collect, and when
We only collect what you type into one of the three forms on this site. There is no account to create, and nothing is collected just from reading a page.
Contact form
Your first and last name, email address, phone number and whatever you write in the message box. We use it to answer you.
Employment form
Your name, phone number, email address and postal address; the position you're applying for, your salary and hours preferences, your prior experience, your answers about essential job functions and transport, and your resume if you attach one. We use it to consider your application and to contact you about it.
Gift card request form
Your name, email address, phone number and postal address, plus the amount and denominations you'd like. We use it to prepare your gift cards and post them to you.
How it reaches us
Submitting a form sends its contents to our email inbox. It also passes through the companies that host this site and deliver that email, who process it on our behalf and don't use it for anything of their own. Nothing you submit is stored in a database on this website.
What we don't do
We don't sell, rent or trade your information. We don't share it with anyone except the service providers above, and where the law requires it. We don't use it to send you marketing unless you've asked us to. We don't run advertising or analytics trackers on this site, and we don't set cookies.
How long we keep it
Messages and gift card requests are kept only as long as we need them to deal with your enquiry and our records. Job applications are kept while we consider them and for a reasonable period afterwards in case something suitable comes up. Ask us and we'll delete yours.
Payments
This site takes no payments. Charlie's is cash only in person, and gift cards are paid for by check sent through the post — so we never see or hold your card details.
Children
This site isn't directed at children, and we don't knowingly collect information from anyone under 13. If you believe a child has sent us something, tell us and we'll remove it.
Your choices
You can ask us what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email info@charliesbar.com or call the restaurant and we'll sort it out. Depending on where you live you may have further rights under your local law; we'll honour those too.
Security
This site is served over HTTPS, and form submissions are encrypted in transit. No method of transmission is completely secure, so please don't send us anything highly sensitive — a social security number, say — through a web form.
Links to other sites
Our directions page embeds a map from Google, and our footer links to our Facebook, Instagram and X pages. Those companies have their own privacy policies, which govern what they do once you're on their services.
Changes
If we change this policy we'll update the date at the top of the page.
